Dawn Field

Dawn Field is a Child and Youth Worker with over 25 years of experience providing direct care to children, youth and families. She holds a Child and Youth Care diploma from St. Lawrence College in Brockville and has completed post-graduate courses on Bereavement Education and Grief Counselling.

Dawn has experience working in the Child Welfare sector in assessment programs, supporting foster parents with behaviour management strategies, safety behaviour plans and collaborative problem solving. She has worked in the education sector, assisting schools and families on how to manage complex behaviour needs both in school and at home. Dawn assisted families in navigating the educational setting and linking them to community agencies to help during times of crisis.

Dawn has volunteered at the Lighthouse Program for grieving children, co-facilitating groups for youth who have lost a parent or sibling. She is trained in collaborative problem-solving, suicide prevention, conflict resolution and complex mental health disorders.
