We are pleased to announce that Calissa Frans will be the new Family Service Coordinator for the Halton/Hamilton/Niagara Region effective April 1, 2020. She will be taking over for Pat Gaughan who was recently named the President and CEO of Bartimaeus Inc. We are looking forward to this new and exciting partnership with Calissa.
Calissa is a graduate of the Child and Youth Worker with Honours Program at Centennial College, and has been working in the field for more than 17 years. She is currently working on her BA in Child & Youth Care Degree-through Ryerson University. Her experience ranges from mental health, acquired brain injury, concurrent disorders, residential treatment, school-based, foster family support and private practice. Her most recent accomplishment was becoming a part-time Professor at Mohawk College. Calissa has worked collaboratively with Bartimaeus Inc and Bartimaeus Rehabilitation for the past 10 years. Her ability to create therapeutic relationships with the clients in her care, their collaterals, as well as the multi-disciplinary team has helped propel her professional contributions to the community at large.
