Cheryl has been working with people with special needs for the past ten years. She has extensive experience with children, adults, and seniors in a variety of settings which include community, residential, and long term care homes.
Cheryl initially began her career in the human services field by obtaining her Personal Support Worker diploma. Upon graduation she has held a number of positions working with children with developmental challenges, working with individuals who were deaf and blind, and later with seniors in residential settings. Cheryl has also worked as a behaviour consultant in York Region.
Cheryl has completed the OBIA/Brock University training modules in Acquired Brain Injury and is currently studying at McMaster University for her Clinical Behavioural Sciences post-graduate diploma, as well as working towards her Geriatric Certification through McMaster University.
Cheryl has many attributes which include her compassion, adaptability, and focus on client-centred practice.
