This workshop offers information about very specific stresses experienced by parents whose children develop or are diagnosed with a mental health illness. Having a child with an emotional and/or behavioural disorder can be confusing and overwhelming. The workshop attempts to dissolve the stigma attached to children’s mental health illness and assists colleagues on how to support coworkers whose children are diagnosed.
