Bartimaeus provides accessible and flexible hospital and home child and youth work support. Children, adolescents and adults who are experiencing severe behavioural, social, emotional, cognitive and psychiatric difficulties often require additional support in the hospital. The service is focused on the safety of clients and health care staff, and in situations where one-to-one support would be helpful during hospitalization. Support and consultation are also available to the nursing team.

Our Health and Hospital Support service supports children, adolescents, adults and their family members following discharge from the hospital. We assist in the rehabilitation process and the transition back to home, school, and the community. Our Associates support the child/adolescent/adults and their family members in any setting or situation that presents challenges and difficulties.

Bartimaeus provides full co-ordination of the hospital and health care contracts, including consultation with the hospital or health care facility to identify specific requirements which allows us to custom match our Associates who possess the desired areas of expertise.

Our Associates are available to provide staff coverage during times of illness, job vacancy, training and/or vacation. Service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week throughout the year. An on-call service is available after hours.

Rehabilitation support is available to families or agencies for children, adolescents and adults who have suffered traumatic brain injuries and are in rehabilitation programs. Behavioural strategies, family relief, one-to-one support, and day program support.
