Service Benefits

Benefits to Individuals

Bartimaeus Senior Services provides a service that offers a direct benefit to individuals that are experiencing behavioural difficulties related to mental health related or dementia related symptoms. Individuals that experience depressive symptoms suffer more illnesses, and require more assistance with daily living and physical activities.

Our services address the behavioural, cognitive, emotional, physical and/or social difficulties that accompany aging; we work to support a positive sense of well-being for all of our clients. Increased participation in cognitive activities significantly reduces the risk of dementia, slows down memory loss, and improves mental health.

Bartimaeus Senior Services involves the individual and the family in care planning; we strive to maximize the potential and independence of each of our clients. In addition to managing the health concerns of our clients, we help them to live realistic and purposeful lives according to their unique needs. We believe this means helping people to stay connected in meaningful relationships.

Benefits to Family Members

Our services reflect the current needs and demands of the families and individuals that we serve. Bartimaeus Senior Services specializes in supporting individuals that are cognitively impaired due to dementia related symptoms. We are sensitive to the complex and unique needs of each individual and respect the ethical issues that arise in the decision making about care for our clients.

We recognize that families need a quality balanced alternative to attempting everything themselves. We offer a level of care and attention to families and our clients that is not currently offered in the public system. Our involvement provides the family the opportunity to meaninfully connect with their parents or spouse, rather than always thinking about the next decision that needs to be made.

Our approach leads to quality relationships that make a difference in the lives of our clients and their families. We know from experience that continuity in care management promotes consistent communication and reduces stress on the family.

Our services are available 24 hours a day,
7 days a week and are on a fee-for-service basis.
