Rehabilitation
Bartimaeus Rehabilitation Services provide transitional support to clients who are recovering from brain injuries or other serious traumas. Individuals reintegrating into the community may exhibit social, emotional, behavioural symptoms that are difficult for the individual, their families and the community resources to address. We assist those individuals to reach their therapeutic goals. The Rehabilitation Services are customized for each client in coordination with the rehabilitation team. The service is flexible, client-directed and reflects the individual’s goals and needs.
Bartimaeus Rehabilitation Services offer individualized therapeutic intervention, family support and education, and highly skilled support to day treatment, residential, educational and vocational programs.
We offer clients and practitioners a variety of service choices and benefits. To enable the client to achieve the very best recovery possible, we prepare and support the client in dealing with the challenges of his or her own environment. This includes identifying and understanding how the client’s behaviour — and their family’s reaction to the behaviour — has been affected by the trauma, and helps them to effectively deal with the emotions that can impede rehabilitation.
The service provides:
- One-to-one cost efficient, therapeutically effective support by trained, skilled and experienced Rehabilitation Therapists.
- An individualized approach that allows unique interventions to be put in place.
- Service in the client’s community, which empowers the client and enhances the therapeutic impact of the service.
- One-to-one support that can reduce the anxiety that can cause disruptive behaviour.
- One-to-one support that can facilitate a smooth transition into school, specialized day programs or residential programs for unusually complex situations.
Integration along a path to recovery, including support in hospital and health care service, return to school and return to work.
Cultural and language needs are addressed prior to services being offered. In the Greater Toronto Area, we offer Rehabilitation Services in the following languages:

Services are available in home, school, workplace and community.
